The Thursday everyone arrived to St. John, the Bride and Groom hosted a Welcome Reception. This is the gang that we flew down with.
...and here we are with the happy couple...
Before the trip we deemed it necessary to have an "Island Buddy" so that no one would be left behind. I had two!
I failed to take pictures of the rehearsal dinner. Probably because it was pouring down rain and we were too focused on getting across the 'reservation' without drowning. Luckily the Westin had umbrellas in the rooms...well, all rooms but ours, but we borrowed some from our neighbors. Thankfully we were able to get all of the rain/storms out of the way on Friday night, and Saturday night was absolutely perfect.
The Dads were too funny as they sat on the curb examining their empty pockets before the wedding.
The wedding was held in this garden gazebo by the water.
The Groom and his brother, the best man...The Bride being walked down the aisle by her Dad...
The vows. Please let me tell you that the minister cannot be bothered by email because she lives in a tree house. The Bride and Groom with their families...
The Husband and I in our Island wedding attire...The cake...that is if you can tear your eyes away from the beautiful background to even notice the cake...
The Groom with his family...
The 'tribe' (as we were referred to by the Director of Romance) and the Bride's family...
Guys being guys...
Island Buddies...
Pictures at sunset...
The reception tables...
Cutting the cake...which tasted like a Twinkie! Delicious!
Wait! That's not the Groom! My husband decided to crash the cake photos!
"You gotta treat cake like a lady"
Needless to say, all the rain made for a bit of a muddy dance floor...but that didn't slow anyone down! If the band hadn't stopped, we'd probably all still be there today!
We all had a wonderful time! I firmly believe that all my friends/family that have yet to get married should all pick somewhere tropical for their wedding festivities! :)
