Christmas already?

Not sure about you guys, but Christmas seems to have completely snuck up on me this year. My mother in law says 'welcome to open house' season with this family. And I guess that's true. We were all so busy preparing to open the Glass Studio that Thanksgiving was a blur and Christmas is next week and I haven't even started shopping!

Truth be told, we just got our tree last week and, due to a nasty bug that plagued our house for over a week, we just decorated said tree tonight! (oh, yeah! I've really got it all together!)

Santa made a pit stop in Troy this weekend, so Mom-of-the-Year here woke baby girl up from her nap to get her dressed to go see him.

She MAY....

...or may not...

...have liked the jolly old elf.
:)

And since I'll most likely not make it back before the end of the year, here's wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year!

T-R (whoop! whoop!)....

...and if you know how to finish this cheer, then most likely you attended the great TROY University or are at least a fan of the Trojans!

This little cheerleader donned her winter gear to brave the unexpected chill and cheered for the Trojans at Homecoming. First things first...meeting T. Roy! (she LOVED him and was not scared in the least!)

In years past, we've tailgated with the Walker family, and they go all out! There is always plenty of room under their tent, they've never met a stranger, and they try to feed the entire stadium! Well, this year, Miss Mommy had some health issues that we thought might keep her from even attending the game, but the tent for sure was out.

Or so they thought! HA HA!

This sneaky group...
...rolled out the grills and surprised them with a tent to call home!

Needless to say, it was quite the surprise and a good time was had by all!!!
(some we knew and some we didn't :)

Tailgating was right up my girl's alley! She smiled and waved at everyone that walked by!

I'm pretty impressed that, with all the gear I had to pack that day, I actually remembered to bring my camera!

This little girl also clapped for everyone and at everything! She definitely knows what 'YAY!' means!

She even got to attend her first Trojan Walk with Unca Jon.
(and was more impressed with his name tag than she was the football team)

These two get full credit for organizing the gang and pulling off the surprise. Funny thing...it was just last Homecoming that we met this fella for the first time. Who knew...? ;)

And seeing my college friend was the absolute best! This girl and I have had some great times together...swaps, socials, yoga class, many walks and each others' weddings....and now we're certain our babies are destined to be best friends and college roommates! Housing to be paid for by my Hubs if they got to Troy and her Hubs if they go to Auburn :)

They really don't stand a chance! :)

I envision many pictures in front of these letters for these little ones!

After the game (that I'll confess we didn't actually ever go into! *gasp*) the group migrated to Aunt Vickie's house to cozy up to the fire pit with a nice cup of joe.

...and had our own private concert later dubbed 'Sipper Live.'

There may or may not be a video of this posted somewhere....

Adams' Glass Studio Open House

Well, hello there! Thanks for not giving up on me. We've been A LOT busy lately with the glass studio and preparing for the grand opening and open house. CeeLo and I have been living there during the day and husband has been there burning the midnight oil. We set up a pack-n-play and CeeLo and her cousins had a big time :)

After long hours of hanging glass, sweeping, dusting, placing, replacing... WE DID IT!!!!

The candy kitchen was open and in full swing AND we had delicious fudge and divinity samples for everyone to taste!

Husband even squeezed in a tiny bit of Black Friday shopping and grabbed a few poinsettias for decoration.

I am so proud of how everything turned out and so thankful for everyone that helped to pull everything together!!

Including my parents! Mom came down to help watch my girl while dad and I were busy hanging panels, while Husband and my father in law were tucked away in the basement creating these stunning pieces!

TaDaaaaaaaaaaaa.....

Whatcha think? These old doors were jazzed up with paint to create a place to display these paintings.

Just looking back at all these pictures makes me so excited! So many people came out to support us and celebrate this long year of rebuilding. I feel blessed to be a part of such a special Open House.

And in true spirit of Open House tradition, this dynamic duo created the 2012 angels.

Here are a few of the other items on display at the new Adams' Glass Studio:

Let us know if you see anything you'd like. I'll be glad to take orders from here :)

Here are some angels from the past....

...and some of the grand kids that they represent! (With Meme of course.)

Now we are gearing up for our official Grand Opening this Thursday at 1pm. If you are in Troy we'd love for you to come join us for the official ribbon cutting!

Halloween

Happy Halloween from our gang! CeeLo dressed as a prissy little kitty in a tutu for the daytime ensemble. I took her by to visit her friends at school and we got to see both of her old teachers. They were so excited to see those chunky legs again and she got lots of hugs and kisses.

Its so hard to ever get a really good shot of her teeth, I just had to stick this one in here for the out of town friends and family to see!

There was a quick wardrobe change before the evening activities.

Is this not the cutest Tigger that you've ever seen!?!?

And not just any Tigger...but one with bows on her little toes!!!

First stop: Uncle Jon and Aunt Shelley's!

There are so many rules to Teenager-hood...Here's one regarding Halloween and Trick-or-Treating: Apparently if you're 17 its okay to hang out with your tiny sister, but if you're 13 you can only take a quick picture before ditching your family to roam the neighborhood with your pals.

You can tell by this Tigger's eyes just how close to bed time it was getting :)

But she hung in like a champ. ...with just a little help from the paci.

Remember Bachelor #4
Well, here he is as the cutest elephant on the block!! Of course we had to get these guys together, even if they were clearly occupied by something far more interesting than having their picture taken!

Then we trick or treated at the God Mother's house, and she had the best reaction to my little Tigger! Sadly, Tigger put the kibosh on the costume moments after arriving, so this was the last photo of the evening.

I was impressed with Tigger. She hung in there well after bed time and was more tolerant of the whole costume thing than I had expected. ...especially considering her love for bows or other things on her head.
