Kickin' the habit

I have come to the conclusion that I am not a morning person. It pains me to admit this, but I feel its time to face the truth. Have I been living a lie...simply pretending to be happy to arise before the sun...excited to begin my day at 5am? hmmmm...

I'd like to think that I do enjoy getting up early and starting the day. I've always imagined waking up and leisurly getting ready to start my day...Maybe then I sincerely would be a morning person. The truth is that mornings are so hectic as we are rushing to get ourselves dressed, fed, and ready to start our days.

I do love the lighting that is unique to morningtime. I do love getting things accomplished early and having the rest of the day to do with as I please. I also love comfy pj's and my warm, cozy bed and the snooze button. Its terrible, I know. If I'd just get up the first time, blah, blah, blah....

Therefore, I have decided to give up my snooze button for Lent.

Day one = successful...despite the rainy weather.

Perhaps I'll use the time spent not-snoozing to post photos of the house now that we're unpacked.....
