Adams' Glass Studio Open House

Well, hello there! Thanks for not giving up on me. We've been A LOT busy lately with the glass studio and preparing for the grand opening and open house. CeeLo and I have been living there during the day and husband has been there burning the midnight oil. We set up a pack-n-play and CeeLo and her cousins had a big time :)

After long hours of hanging glass, sweeping, dusting, placing, replacing... WE DID IT!!!!

The candy kitchen was open and in full swing AND we had delicious fudge and divinity samples for everyone to taste!

Husband even squeezed in a tiny bit of Black Friday shopping and grabbed a few poinsettias for decoration.

I am so proud of how everything turned out and so thankful for everyone that helped to pull everything together!!

Including my parents! Mom came down to help watch my girl while dad and I were busy hanging panels, while Husband and my father in law were tucked away in the basement creating these stunning pieces!

TaDaaaaaaaaaaaa.....

Whatcha think? These old doors were jazzed up with paint to create a place to display these paintings.

Just looking back at all these pictures makes me so excited! So many people came out to support us and celebrate this long year of rebuilding. I feel blessed to be a part of such a special Open House.

And in true spirit of Open House tradition, this dynamic duo created the 2012 angels.

Here are a few of the other items on display at the new Adams' Glass Studio:

Let us know if you see anything you'd like. I'll be glad to take orders from here :)

Here are some angels from the past....

...and some of the grand kids that they represent! (With Meme of course.)

Now we are gearing up for our official Grand Opening this Thursday at 1pm. If you are in Troy we'd love for you to come join us for the official ribbon cutting!

Halloween

Happy Halloween from our gang! CeeLo dressed as a prissy little kitty in a tutu for the daytime ensemble. I took her by to visit her friends at school and we got to see both of her old teachers. They were so excited to see those chunky legs again and she got lots of hugs and kisses.

Its so hard to ever get a really good shot of her teeth, I just had to stick this one in here for the out of town friends and family to see!

There was a quick wardrobe change before the evening activities.

Is this not the cutest Tigger that you've ever seen!?!?

And not just any Tigger...but one with bows on her little toes!!!

First stop: Uncle Jon and Aunt Shelley's!

There are so many rules to Teenager-hood...Here's one regarding Halloween and Trick-or-Treating: Apparently if you're 17 its okay to hang out with your tiny sister, but if you're 13 you can only take a quick picture before ditching your family to roam the neighborhood with your pals.

You can tell by this Tigger's eyes just how close to bed time it was getting :)

But she hung in like a champ. ...with just a little help from the paci.

Remember Bachelor #4
Well, here he is as the cutest elephant on the block!! Of course we had to get these guys together, even if they were clearly occupied by something far more interesting than having their picture taken!

Then we trick or treated at the God Mother's house, and she had the best reaction to my little Tigger! Sadly, Tigger put the kibosh on the costume moments after arriving, so this was the last photo of the evening.

I was impressed with Tigger. She hung in there well after bed time and was more tolerant of the whole costume thing than I had expected. ...especially considering her love for bows or other things on her head.

Diva's 17th Birthday

We've had a lot going on lately. After G's Birthday Week and Gatlinburg, we were in full swing Birthday Week for Diva! Her birthday request was a pizza party with these ladies!

They had pizza, cookie cake, cruised on the golf cart and jammed out to their favorite tunes on the surround sound. I made an awesome DJ :)

Uncle Jon and Aunt Shelley stopped in to crash the party!

The day was a huge success and I can't believe that we have a 17 year old! A high school Junior!! An almost  legit adult!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go medicate Husband!!!

7 Months

Look at the cutest 7 month old that you've ever seen!!!
(and ignore the fact that she's really 8 months now and I'm just now posting these)

Check out those bottom teeth! Clearly she's thrilled about them!

I totally deserve Mom of the Year award for watching her chew on her fingers and then laughing when she bites herself. But seriously. This teething thing is no joke. I'm not one that functions well on little sleep, and I'd gotten pretty used to her sleeping through the night! Now that she's waking up a couple of times each night...Wowza!

So, I used to think people just bragged on their kids all the time, but now I realize, it isn't bragging... It is constant amazement by this new little person that is learning and developing right before your very eyes.

This little genius's 7 month development--waving hello and good bye to everyone in sight, and sometimes even to the fan or the refrigerator or the cat or the wall...and in pictures.

I was also reminded recently that I never posted pictures of her finished nursery.
Your wish is my command!

The little creatures are own the tree and we've added the bookcase and toy box. I think she's all set now!

Fall Break

The girls were out of school Thursday and Friday for a mini fall break, so we loaded up the Tahoe and headed for a weekend in Gatlinburg.

Husband's parents have been doing the Gatlinburg Craftsmen Fair show for (basically) ever, and they always stay at this cabin. There was just enough room for us to crash with them!

The Craftsmen Fair is an 18 day show in the Convention Center downtown and they do this show twice a year.

The weather was absolutely perfect. There was a little crisp in the air that made me reach for my sweater and pile 3 comforters on the bed! (even though Husband wore shorts most of the time) But it felt like Fall.

Things at the show are going well. We visited with vendors that seem more like family than booth-neighbors.

But then again, after all these years of doing the show, they really are family...

The big sisters snuck out with MeMe early Friday morning. They rode around the town, shopped, were gone most of the day. They returned with lots of goodies and a plethera of stories about MeMe's driving!

That night we went out to eat at the Apple Barn and had apple cider and apple fritters...or apple 'critters' as Diva likes to call them. They also serve the best chicken pot pie in the world!

I took pictures at the booth so that we'll have some pictures to use for the new glass studio website that is in the works. (more on that later)

But I figured that most of you guys just want to see pictures anyways, so I decided to share them with you too.

And we're taking orders for Christmas...so if you see anything you like, let a girl know :)

MC did really well on her first loooong driving trip and sleeping in the pack-n-play.

She's such a social girl...I think her favorite part was waving at everyone that passed! (and in almost every picture we took!)

The leaves were absolutely beautiful, so we did take the time to snap some more recent family photos.

This tree in particular really outdid itself!!

My main goal on this trip was to see a bear...Guess this will have to count this year!
