Engagement Party

One of our best friends got engaged in December. Since tax season is her busiest season, our group of friends decided to host an engagement party for them the first available date after April 15th!

The Place:  Papa and ChaCha's lovely back yard.

Check.

Cups designed...

Check!

Centerpieces crafted...

Message in a bottle table...

Appetizers....

Welcome punch for the happy couple...

Check, check, CHECK!

After many hostess meetings, emails, and picture messages, we were finally prepared....

That is until the BRIDE and GROOM showed up!!!!

That's right!!! Those little stinkers had planned a wedding with just their immediate families for earlier that day and surprised us all at the engagement party!!!

Who knew we'd been planning the RECEPTION this whole time!

We changed into full swing reception mode then, and what's a reception without a first dance!?!?

(Meanwhile, Husband and some of the other fellas were knee deep in shrimp for the low country boil)

And it was soooo delicious!!!

The sailing crew for this summer!

The rain held off and the weather was absolutely perfect!!!

The hosting 'Crew' for the party

Wedding Cupcake!

An impromptu bouquet (made of a table runner and burlap) toss.

Whoever caught this bouquet is the next to have a baby!
So...congratulations Heather!

ChaCha even raided her kitchen and came out with brown rice for their departure!

It was such a wonderful surprise and I'm so happy for these two.
They really got us!

But don't worry...they had their own surprise awaiting them when they got home!!!
