Unpredictable

In order to fulfill a desire to be more unpredictable,  I walked around my hotel like this the other day:

And do you know that it was noon before the first person even asked me about it!?!

Which leaves me with a concern...Do most people that I work with think I woke up that morning and said 'I bet that lei will look great with my navy dress....I shall wear it to bring out my eyes'?

Christening

There are several ceremonies from life that hold a special place place in my heart....Chi Omega initiation, our wedding, and now the dedication of our daughter to Christ.

We had her Christening on May 27th and were blessed to have 28 family and friends to attend this special occasion.

Thankfully there were no tears! CeeLo was so calm and just looked out at the congregation as if she knew exactly what was going on.

Even the water didn't seem to phase her.

Then our pastor walked her around the church to allow the members to meet their new sister. She just tilted her little head and took it all in.

(The secret to this well behaved little one, you might ask?
A full tummy before go-time!)

Look at that sweet little foot!!!
What is it about tiny, little toes that makes you want to smooch all over them!?!?

After church CeeLo had her picture made with all her special guests...

Aunt Nanie
Aunt Nanie gave her this pin that belonged to their aunt. It has a diamond and two little pearls on the side and was the perfect addition to her gown. How special for her to be able to wear something handed down through the family.

It is a special occasion if Coach Ward holds a baby. This moment had to be documented to serve as proof to his pals! CeeLo's bonus grand parents are also pictured below. She will call them "Miss Mommy" and "Miss Daddy," which is what I named my first babysitters when I was but a wee lass.

Remember Farmer T? (I made mention of him here) Well, here he is with his new lady friend. :)

Not to be outdone by the other fellas Sipper, too, held CeeLo for a quick photo opp.

Afterwards, we made good use of the large island and had everyone over for lunch!

Nothing like a house full of friends and family to make one feel special!

(In honor of Miss Mommy, we had plenty of fruit so that everyone could get their daily serving!)

Here we have the 'kids' table!

After everyone left and things quieted down a bit, CeeLo decided it was time to laugh out loud for the first time. It was quite possibly the sweetest sound I've ever heard in my life.

We had the best time tickling her just to hear her laugh! ...and I hear the real fun is just beginning!

Dear Baby Stage,
May we please have a little more of you now and a little less of the teenage phase in the future? Just think about it...
Sincerely,
New Momma

The Germs

Look who got sent home from School yesterday with The Germs.
A little boy from her class had pink eye last week and Big Momma's eye was watering so they were afraid she'd caught the germs. Husband went to get her and take her to the doctor.

It was so hard to be stuck at work while she was home 'sick.' Fortunately Husband text me with pictures all day long.

Dr. said she didn't have pink eye, just a developing tear duct that was watery, but he gave her some drops just in case...since pink eye is super contagious. We kept her home today to give school an extra day to de-bug. Besides, a day home with Daddy is a day well spent. Poor Mom that has to go to work...

Glass Studio Update

As you may remember, the Adams' family was rocked when the Glass Studio was leveled by a terrible fire last year. Since then, my father in law and Husband have decided to rebuild.

Unfortunately, that's easier said than done. The Alabama Department of Environmental Management required that the ashes be tested for lead before they could be hauled to a landfill. The tests came back over the limit, so they had to make arrangements to have the ashes hauled to Birmingham for disposal. In the mean time, Charles had some temporary buildings brought in so that they could continue working and replacing the inventory that was lost in the fire.

Over three months (and ridiculous amounts of red tape) later, the site was cleared and rebuilding could begin. For those of you that know Charles, patience is not his strong point, and he was rather anxious to see the progress start.

At long last plans were drawn, construction teams were lined up, and ground was breaking!

There is a new General Contractor on duty and she runs a tight ship!

A month later, we have a foundation, walls, and a roof!

June 2, 2012
The new Glass Studio will have a show room and candy shop upstairs with the storage, work space, and loading dock downstairs. While there may be less square footage in this new building, there is more available work space and will actually be more 'user friendly.'

Can't wait for you all to come check out the finished product! I'll keep you posted on the progress here, but you can also follow us on Facebook.

Three Month

Get ready for a cuteness overload! Here's a few pictures from our 3 month photo shoot. Someone got a little fussy so we didn't get a ton of different pics this time.

She really loves that bunny because can hang onto those long, floppy ears and she's all about grabbing something these days.

It is hard to tell how much longer Big Momma has gotten because she draws her legs up like a little frog.

Its like she knows when I'm about to snap the picture and she immediately quits smiling.
A better camera is on my list!

Her new favorite thing...the duck tub!

My new favorite thing...these rolls!

I think I'm going to start a new folder called 'pictures for senior year book and wedding slide show.'
This one definitely makes the cut!

Sisters

The big sisters really do love this little girl. They love to pick out her wardrobe, give her a bottle, and even help with diapers!! She's getting to be a lot of fun now and they really enjoy playing with her and making her smile. This, however, made me smile! and laugh really hard!

(Found on her rump when while we were at the hospital visiting Cousin who had just had his appendix removed.)
 Thanks, Big Sisters.
